October 16 Newsletter 2013

Greetings from General Manager
Ernesto Chamorro

It's that gorgeous "Indian Summer" time of year, and lots of you are enjoying the weather with us here at The Hills.

imgComing up fast is our annual Halloween Party on Friday the 25th. We still have some dinner reservations available, so please RSVP by phone or by stopping by the front desk before this Sunday. We have a delicious menu planned and lots of fun activities starting at 6pm. I hope you can join us. (Note that we can not offer dinner without prior reservation.)

Since we announced our intent to expand the club's gym facility, we've received questions and suggestions from many of you. To address your concerns, please review the following update from Eric Schmitz, President of California Athletic Clubs. He offers further details about the gym expansion and other construction projects in the coming year.

Increasingly, the club is using email to communicate important information to you. This includes regular eNews updates like this, as well as surveys and bulletins about facilities issues. If you want to add your spouse or partner to our list, or if you know of other members who are not receiving regular messages from us, please stop by the front desk and we’ll update our records.

Finally, we've adjusted the off-season café hours based on your feedback. Hours are now Monday thru Friday 3–7pm, weekends 11am–7pm. We adjust the café schedule as members' demand diminishes with the cooler weather.

Thanks for your feedback and enthusiasm. I hope to see you at our party on the 25th.

To your health,
Ernesto

Update on the Membership Survey from Eric Schmitz

To those of you that took time to participate in our recent email survey about The Hills, thank you! We had a great response and are planning some significant initiatives based on what you told us. In consultation with The Hills' management team, we've decided to move ahead with the following projects:

Expand the fitness center

  • Expand parking opportunities
  • Add healthier options to the cafe menu
  • Increase staffing around the pool on busy weekends
  • Install more cabanas around the pool
We are also planning more frequent "check-ins" with you via email. If you're an active visitor at the club, you should expect a quarterly email from us. We want to continue to work together to improve The Hills experience. I also want to stay in touch to make sure the club is meeting your health and fitness needs. We will forward surveys on a staggered basis, starting next month.

If for some reason you're reading this and you have not been receiving regular email communications from us, please stop by the front desk and provide your current address(es). The Hills usually forwards two "eNews" updates each month -- it's the best way to keep up with program and facility updates.

If you ever have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.
