eNews from The Hills

Dear Members:

Lately, my communications have centered on safety and reminders about the club’s rules and regulations. As far as ensuring that all of our members enjoy their visits to the club, there are also what I’d call some “unwritten rules” around respecting one another’s space and dignity.

Whether you’re working out in the gym, taking a group class, or just soaking up sun on the deck, you deserve to be uninterrupted and undisturbed. Sometimes, uninvited conversation can be as upsetting as loud music or rowdy behavior. If you ever experience an uncomfortable situation with another member, please bring it to my attention.

As summer heads into its final few weeks, we are busy making plans for our Member Appreciation party on Sunday, August 25. It’s a Luau-themed afternoon, with a special menu prepared by Royal Raspberry Catering. We’ll have live music and also a DJ. Please call ahead to reserve your meals; $16 for adults and $14 for kids. If you like, you’re invited to “BYOMT” (bring your own mai tais!).

With the kids heading back to school, it’s a good time to reestablish a healthy routine for yourself. We offer upwards of 60 different classes and activities each week, the majority of which are free programs. Please take a minute to look over our fitness calendar and consider adding a class or some personal training to your schedule.

Finally, we have a few spaces remaining in the final two weeks of our popular summer activities camp. Sign up now to put the finishing touch on an active and healthy summer break for your kids.

To your health,

Ernesto Chamorro
General Manager
