UPDATE FROM OUR GENERAL MANAGER

Dear Members:

As usual, September means we’re enjoying some spectacular weather here in the Bay Area. I hope you are finding time to visit the club and enjoy our “Indian Summer.” Today, I want to update you on some exciting developments around the club.

First, we are responding to the desires of our tennis fans by adding lighting to the Diablo Court at the back of the club. We are in the permitting process. We have received bids to install the lights and funding is in place. So with a go-ahead from the building department, you’ll be able to play tennis until 10pm.

Another facilities improvement suggested by member feedback is air conditioning in the group fitness studio. We expect to begin project by October 15. We hope this makes the studio more comfortable for your workouts all year round.

Also, if you like to stream TV or videos while you run or spin, you’ll now find a stronger Wi-Fi signal in the gym. We’ve installed a new hub to serve that area, allowing uninterrupted streams for more users.

A reminder that with this good weather the pool is busy on weekends and after school. We have lifeguards on duty at peak times throughout the week and we’ll also have a pool monitor on deck for weekends through the end of this month. Depending on weather patterns, we may staff a weekend pool monitor in October as well.

Finally, mark your calendars for our annual Halloween party on Friday evening, October 24. This is a super-popular event for our families, with costume contests, special treats, haunted house, spooky decorations and entertainment. I hope you can join us.

To your health,

Ernesto Chamorro
