June 24 Newsletter 2013
Dear Members:
Summer is in full swing here at The Hills -- our most exciting time of year. When the facility is this busy, we have to work together to ensure the club is safe and enjoyable for everyone.
First and foremost, I must ask for your cooperation around the pool area. After some complaints and personal observations, I have reviewed our rules and regulations. At this time, we must disallow children bringing squirt guns, soakers, or other types of water guns to the club. These can be an annoyance to others in the pool and on the deck.
Likewise, we will not permit the throwing of tennis balls, footballs, or other objects that might injure or disturb other swimmers. There are soft foam saucers and toss-balls that are safe for small kids and those kinds of toys will be allowed in the junior pool.
Please ask our lifeguards if you have questions about pool rules, and always insist that your children abide by our lifeguards’ directions.
As a courtesy to fellow members, please refrain from making cell phone calls in the fitness rooms and locker areas. Also, please discourage your kids from using the restroom areas, saunas, or toilet stalls as changing rooms; and please don’t leave damp clothing or towels in the saunas to dry.
We want The Hills to be a “family friendly” place to enjoy the great summer weather with your friends and children. So please let us know if you observe unsafe behavior or if there’s anything we can do to make your visit more enjoyable.
In that vein, I’d like to invite you to our annual Fourth of July celebration. To observe our nation’s birthday, we have some exciting events and entertainment lined up for you. Please find some details below and be sure to join us at the club for the holiday fun!
Finally, if you’re still figuring out your kids’ summer calendars, take a look at our Summer Kids’ Program page on the club website. We still have some openings in our popular summer camp, plus swim and tennis lessons.
To your health,
Ernesto Chamorro
General Manager
