Programs and Specials

Pilates on Mat and Equipment

All Pilates work involves learning the principles of breathing, core muscle recruitment, and spinal stabilization. There are over 1500 different Pilates exercises that can be performed on various apparatus (equipment) and on mat. Equipment based Pilates offers a unique combination of core work and upper and lower body conditioning, resulting in strong and proportioned muscles.

  • Small Group Reformer and Circuit Training Program

    The Hills offers several group Reformer classes of 4-5 students and Circuit Training of 3 or more students. Reformer and other Pilates apparatus offers spring resistance resulting in gentle, yet effective and functional strength training.
  • Private Pilates Training and Duets

    Working with a Pilates trainer one on one offers many benefits. While group mat classes offer convenience, the private work and semi private work allows the student to progress faster under safe supervision and each workout is customized and modified to the individual. Originally, the Pilates method was only taught one on one.
  • Independent Workout

    Pilates students who have taken a minimum of 20 reformer classes or 10 individual sessions are welcome to join the Independent workout program and can use the studio independently during supervised hour. For Current Independent workout hours, contact our studio.
  • Mat Work

    The Hills Pilates offers several classes a week for Group Mat Pilates in our Berkeley CA area location. These classes are part of the Group Fitness Program and are free to all members. See our Group Fitness schedule.
